Unlike a majority of people I am not inspired by the web swing heroics of the friendly neighborhood arachnid or the neigh invulnerability of alien in red and blue spandex, I am inspired by the driven, hardworking and focused super villains.

I often say that a superhero movie is only as good as it’s villain. Often times the hero is practically handed their abilities/powers, they rarely have to work for it. And when they do get their powers the way in which they want to help the world is inefficient. For example Superman is a descended from a super-intelligent species but chooses not to use his intelligence but fly around flouting his cape. He also doesn’t need to be Clark, the time he spends as Clark is time he is choosing to let people die.

Now super villains are the real inspirations, they are people with ambitions that most people would deem insane and the drive to achieve them. Super villains are arguably thee most hard working individuals in the world, the amount of hours spent in isolation working in their lairs to better themselves and their inventions. They could have taken they easy way out and lived regular lives and accepted societal norms. Live a normal life, have a family and die but they rejected the easy way and choose to do things their own way which is not an easy thing to do.

Think about it, how ambitious is it to want take over the world or to reduce the entire universes population by half then to actually try and do it. When I say I want to be a super villain I mean that I want to have a dream so grand that others will call me insane, and the drive, dedication and sheer f*cking will to achieve it.

Lex Luthor became president, Thanos saved the universe, Doctor Doom ruled the world and I will do something equally as impressive….
